Pete Abell is Vice President of Business Development for Visible Assets, Inc. He works with the IEEE and EPCGlobal standards groups, identifies new markets and provides strategies for entrŽe into different markets.

He is the former program director of Manufacturing Insights' Radio Frequency (RF) Sensor Network Research. In this role, he was responsible for expanding the company's research in RFID, including RF sensor networks, actuators and legacy identification technology. He was also the AMR Research Global Retail Director for the Retail Distribution Industry and RFID.

Mr. Abell is an accomplished manager, user, industry analyst, and consultant with more than 25 years of retailer, retailer-vendor and industry consulting experience. He has advised numerous RFID practicing companies such as Marks & Spencer, UK, Wal-Mart, and has worked with a number of global suppliers to Wal-Mart and the Department of Defense (DoD).

Mr. Abell holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the United States Naval Academy and has completed some course work towards a master's degree from the University of Chicago.
