Studying for the Exam

Candidates should prepare thoroughly for the exam. There are several free resources that are available for your review including a  glossary of common wireless communication terms (which will also be available for reference during the exam); a list of sample references and questions.

The Wireless Engineering Body of Knowledge (WEBOK), published by IEEE Press and John Wiley Publishers, outlines the topics that may be covered on the test and includes numerous references in which detailed wireless communication knowledge can be found. The WEBOK can be ordered from John Wiley Publishers at www.wiley.com.  

Online Practice Exam
Before applying for the IEEE WCET certification exam, candidates should strongly consider taking an online practice test. The practice exam consists of 75 questions reviewed by IEEE WCET subject-matter experts. Questions on the practice exam are similar to those used on the actual exam and can help you gauge how prepared you are to sit for the actual certification exam. The fee for the practice exam is US$75. Purchase a practice exam to test your knowledge prior to sitting for the actual exam or visit ieee-wcet.org/practice for more information.
